It’s a new decade. Of course, everyone is going to start off with the all too cliche New Years’ resolution of being more healthy or being more physically fit. What great and noble goals, right? And as per usual, most stop at the end of January, more so in February, and by March, they no longer feel guilty about not completing their New Year’s resolution and more importantly, their fitness goals. Harsh reality but true.
Fortunately for you, personal trainers specialize in helping you reach your fitness goals. Certified personal trainers are genuinely passionate about your fitness goals, probably more than you! I’ve always said that there are just some things in life that no one else can do for you. You just have to do it yourself. Like my grandma always says, “It’s not about what you want to do but what you have to do.” Working out is definitely one of those things no one else can do for you. You must do it yourself. You must do the work! You have one body and knowing how your life has been, you’re going to live well past 90 years so it’s in your best interest to take care of your body the best you along the way. You deserve it!
Reason #1: You know yourself! You thrive on motivation
We have all been there. We start out excited and going strong but one day, we just don’t feel like going to the gym. We are honest with ourselves, we just don’t want to go. We feel bad but promise we will make it up tomorrow. You know how this ends. Tomorrow never comes. A good personal trainer is skilled in this area. Not only have they had extensive education and training themselves, but they also understand behavior change and how to motivate you to continue to reach your goals, yes, even when you don’t feel like it.
Reason #2: You’ve tried every diet and weight-loss supplement on the market
Come on, you can admit it. You’ve bought protein shakes, fat burners, listened to the guy at the counter with the ripping biceps of the supplement store, and bought everything he said and still saw little to no results. That’s discouraging. Now it’s time to listen to your personal trainer. They have a solid understanding of the body, muscle imbalances (when left unchecked lead to injury), muscle groups, and a wealth of knowledge at your disposal. Utilize them!
Reason #3: Your doctor said so
Your doctor has alarmed you of your need to get in shape. We know the number one cause of the chronic disease is obesity. Yet, we still lack the discipline to control ourselves. After all, we are all human, I think. It’s time to get serious about your health. Personal trainers understand this and personally hold you accountable. A good personal trainer will establish a genuine connection with you and help you stay on your path to accomplish your fitness goals. Doctors orders!
Reason #4: You want to look and feel your best
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” – Socrates. Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves. Everyone. We are goal-oriented people and physical training is challenging as it should be. It’s in our DNA to feel a sense of accomplishment from exceeding our goals. Personal trainers understand this too. After all, they find the motivation to workout themselves and possess enough to help motivate you too!
Reason #5: You want to start a family
Ladies, you’ve been thinking about getting in shape as you want to be in great shape.
Here’s why you should train with me. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and I also possess a double bachelor’s in biology and chemistry from the University of Missouri. It was during my senior year in college when I realized I enjoyed biochemistry. At the same time, I had just started my fitness journey and the two together evolved into my passion, my love. Fitness! I have a strong desire to help others not only realize their fitness goals but accomplish them. I love performing assessments as it’s were we begin your fitness journey. Together, we learn about your body including muscular imbalances and I am able to design a customized workout specific to you, to correct these imbalances and get you on your way to your fitness goals. My only rule, be faithful!
