Have you been on a fitness journey only to have hit a plateau, and you don’t seem to have any passion for it anymore? If you want to be successful with your fitness goals, ask yourself these 3 questions about passion, purpose and focus:
1. What are you passionate about?
2. What is your purpose for your goal?
3. Where is your focus, are you doing everything possible to reach your goals?
Find your passion
Let’s elaborate on these for a minute, first, do you know what you are passionate about? This would include goals, short and long term, that you want to reach with your fitness. If you don’t know what you are working toward, then what ARE you working toward? Even if it is just overall health and maintaining a certain level of fitness and being active every day, that’s still a goal.
Define the purpose
Now for number 2, now that you know what your goal is, what is the purpose of working toward it? Do you have health issues that would be resolved by losing a few pounds and being more active? Are you training for a 5k or other run? Do you want to put on a few pounds of lean muscle mass? Or do you just want to be healthier and get your family on track for a healthy lifestyle as well?
Any of these are great goals, as long as you define your goals and figure out why you are doing what you are doing you are on the right track!
How will you succeed?
Lastly, number 3. Are you focused on reaching your goal? What are you doing to make that goal a reality? Are you doing every in your power to make it happen? If not, then you might need to sit down and think about what you can do to change your current actions and put a different plan into action. A goal without a plan is just a wish, make your goal a reality.
