“We are the only species on the planet that is absolutely clueless to how to thrive in our physical environment.” – Wayne Dyer
FOOD:
- 1) Understanding what your environment needs to thrive
- Women, do you know how much daily water consumption you need? 2.7 liters
- Men, do you know how much daily water consumption you need? 3.7 liters
TIPS:
- If you need to drink a gallon of water a day I may get bored. You need to make my water consumption fun and exciting.
- Buy a gallon jug and make finishing the gallon your goal!
- Add color to your water: infuse your water with lemon slices, chia seeds, mint leaves, cucumber cucumbers, etc… anything to make your brain believe that it is not just water
- 2) Alkaline water is the absolute best (according to the Sebi diet) you can get 5 gallons of Alkaline water for $1-3 from any alkaline water dispenser
- 3) Most of us know what food to eat but we don’t set up our environment correctly.
- Organize your plate to have Color and balance // Carbs, proteins, fats, fruit/veggie
- Eat your veggies first because this tricks your brain into believing it is full. When you eat carbs first it tells your body that you need more carbs and this is a deadly cycle!
- Bonus – if you eat an apple, add some peanut butter to it because fats + carbs help you digest your food better.
- Before eating a meal ask yourself, “How will I feel after I eat this?”
- If I go to the Habit Burger and Grill, instead of ordering a burger and fries… replace the original fries with sweet potato fries or a small side salad.
TIPS TO LOSE BELLY FAT:
4) If you want to lose belly fat shut down startchy carb consumption after 8 pm. When you eat starchy carbs late in the evening it bloats your stomach and creates fat.
5) Do not place bad snacks in bad environments (office drawers, nightstands, car)
Think about where grocery stores place snacks to purchase — they place them in the checkout lines because it is a high-stress environment where people do not want to wait so they buy off impulse!
- Instead place healthy snacks in these areas like: nuts, whole grain bars, cheese, protein bars, etc.
