I know it can be very hard balancing being a mom, taking care of the home, taking care of your partner, taking the kids to school, and on top of all that, prioritizing your health and fitness. Trust me, I’ve been there. I, also am a mom of three children. All of them are under the age of six years old. Now the first thing you need to work on is your mindset.
Your mindset is very important when it comes to balancing a lot of activities at the same time. And in this case, once you are able to understand in your mind that one, this is not going to be easy, but it is achievable and it is actually what you need. Then it will make it easier for you to pick yourself up when it’s hard and you will also be able to put the things in place that will help you to make this a success!
Balancing motherhood and fitness is not that hard if you:
1. Clarify your goals
How do we go about this? The first thing to do is to clarify what your goal is. What is your goal? Would you like to lose some weight? Would you like to heal your tummy? Would you like to lose the belly fat? Would you like to be fit? Would you like to have more energy? What is your goal?
For example, if your goal is to lose weight, how much weight do you want to lose? What is the impact of this on your life? How would this benefit you? How would you feel when this is achieved? How would your family feel when this is achieved? What is the benefit of it to your family? Are you looking to heal your core? How do you feel when you have achieved this goal? What is the impact of healing your tummy on your family? Would they love to see you feeling confident and happy?
2. Create A Routine That Works
The next thing is to clarify and create a routine that will go with your goal. So what would life look like to make sure you achieve your goal? Would you need to be exercising? If so, how can you incorporate that into your life? It could be that you need to wake up a bit earlier to exercise. It could also mean that you might need to stay up a bit later after the kids go to bed to exercise.
How would your food need to be looking? Do you need to eat more frequently throughout the day? Do you need to eat less throughout the day? What does your social life need to look like? Do you need to go out less frequently? Do you need to be mindful of the food you eat when you are out? Do you need to stop buying some things and bringing it into your home? What do your activities need to look like? Would you need to go for extra walks during your lunchtime? Would you need to take up a meal plan or exercise plan? Would you need to keep more active throughout the day? What does it look like?
My point is what does life need to look like for you to achieve your goal? Create that plan and make it clear.
If you do need a personalized plan and full accountability for yourself, I’m your lady. You can reach out to me via Instagram or you can buy my program, my core rehab program, or my weight loss program.
The next thing you need to do now is to incorporate your strategy, and your plan into your life. This could be so much easier to do if you are able to make your plan sustainable. Nothing extreme works in the long time so do not go extreme with your routine or it will not be achievable.
Conclusion
Finally, I’m just here to let you know that whatever your fitness goal as a mom is, it is achievable with the right plan in place. And you will be so glad you did because it will make you feel more confident in yourself, it will make you feel more confident in your clothes, it will make you feel more sexy around your partner, it will make you have more energy to be able to run around your kids. It will just make life so much better once you can invest that little time and resources to yourself as a mom.
