Can you lose weight by doing fun exercises?
“As long as I get results I don’t care”
I’ve heard that in the past from people who are looking to lose weight and get in better shape. And I used to think there was nothing wrong with that attitude. It’s almost respectable in a way, right? Wow, that person will do whatever it takes to reach their goals.
The only problem with it is that it only works for a very small percentage of the people who say it. The “1percent” as I like to call them. Anyone else who says that is most likely not going
to stick with it. No matter what it is: strength training, spinning, kickboxing, pilates, yoga, cutting out carbs (not a good idea by the way), etc.
It just so happens for me that strength training is by far, the best way to burn fat and increase muscle tone. And I thoroughly enjoy it! My wife absolutely loves spinning! She gets very upset
if she misses a spinning workout. I don’t like spinning so It wouldn’t be something that I did long term.
What are fun exercises for you?
If you don’t like strength training in a typical, standard gym what about a group strength training workout? Or maybe bodyweight exercises like push ups, squats, lunges, pull ups, etc.? Whatever it is, make sure you really enjoy it though because sticking with a workout plan that isn’t fun
is going to be very short lived.
