Conquering Mom Guilt

Raise your hand if you’re a mom who struggles with mom guilt! I’m guessing most of you have your hands up.

This one’s for us moms. But if you’re not a mom, stick around—you might gain some insight into what we experience.

As women, many of us feel a natural pull to take care of others—it’s part of our nurturing nature. But often, we confuse helping others with neglecting ourselves.

How often do we put off doing something for ourselves because there’s a never-ending list of tasks? Laundry, feeding the kids, walking the dog, cleaning the house—it all feels like it must come first.

But what if we changed our perspective?

Since becoming a new mom, I’ve learned how important it is to prioritize myself, even when it feels like there’s no time. I’ve seen it not only in my own life but also with my clients: When moms start focusing on their health and fitness, their energy skyrockets, their moods improve, and they’re able to do even more for their families.

Imagine what you could accomplish with more energy and a better mindset. Think of how much better you’ll feel—and how much more you’ll be able to give to those you love.

I make it a point to get my workouts in, even when they’re rushed. Every time, I feel more energized, more capable, and better equipped to handle the day. I’m showing up not just for myself but for my family, too.

You’ve likely heard the airplane analogy: Put on your oxygen mask first before assisting your child. Why? Because you can’t take care of anyone else if you’re not taking care of yourself. If you don’t, you risk running on empty—and that helps no one.

I see this concept changing lives. Moms who prioritize themselves not only feel better but also instill healthy habits in their kids. It’s a gift that keeps giving, creating a ripple effect for generations.

So, what are you waiting for? Take that first step for YOU. Start a workout routine, sign up for the gym, join a Zoom class, or commit to a transformation challenge.

You deserve this. You’re worth it. Let’s crush your health and fitness goals together and see what you’re truly capable of.
