Ever feel like you’re going at it alone? Many people do. I did at one time before a friend woke me up. From experience, we tend not to look for support thinking it’s not there. It’s actually all
around us every day. The inherent problem is this, you…don’t…ask…for it.
Feeling alone is based on fear of being vulnerable. It’s the choice and albeit an excuse a person makes to not reach out. You think no one will listen to what you have to say or that you will be ridiculed.
FOR ME, had it not been for those I hold in high regard, I may not have reached out and acted on something that would effectively change my life for the better. For me it was the @themdkproject It shook me to my core and brought forth every bit of masculinity and confidence I had lost.
Find your support in friends, family, partners, colleagues, to random people you meet and your local barista. You can find it in online chats and groups in the area of your interest from professional to personal.
You can even find it in social media, FOR THE POSITIVE REASONS. Yes, social media. You have access to thought leaders and authority experts in the areas you want support. To be clear, I’m speaking about following the people you look up to knowing they have a great advice and insights to share. Throw a DM at them with the understanding that you might not get a return BUT know this, the fact that you made the choice to put yourself out there is a massive win. The exercise of PUTTING YOURSELF OUT THERE will soon feel natural.
Go with confidence and believe in yourself.
Every experience both negative and positive has incredible opportunity to learn from. Every experience is a gift.
Never take advise from a person who has not done the work or is where you want to be.
Anyone claiming to be something they’re not or claiming insight from an experience they’ve never had is a fraud.
It is the result of this most impactful experience, that I am here to serve others. To pay forward my learnings and help people transform physically and mentally all with the intent to live a better version of themselves. To live fully.
“Always be yourself and trust that it’s enough.”
