“When you learn to listen to your body, everything changes.”
So, I wasn’t the athletic type growing up. In fact, I didn’t start working out until my late 30s—and not because I wanted to, but because I had to. I was desperate for change. Anxiety ruled my life. Just doing laundry would leave me breathless with my heart racing, and I’d have to sit down because I felt like I couldn’t go on.
I’ll never forget the times I sat on park benches, watching my little girl run and play, wishing I could keep up with her but feeling like my body just wouldn’t let me. Every day felt like a battle against exhaustion and panic. I was spiraling with multiple panic attacks a day, feeling like I was stuck in a cycle I couldn’t escape.
Then one day, I’d had enough.
Discovering a Better Way
At first, I did what most of us do when we’re desperate for change—I tried to “fix” myself by pushing harder. Intense workout programs and restrictive diets, which did work for a little while, and I saw some results. But eventually, my progress stalled. My body stopped responding, and I felt even more defeated.
That’s when I began learning about the nervous system. I started integrating nervous system health practices into my routine—slowing down, focusing on recovery, learning coping mechanisms like tapping and offering my body the rest it so desperately needed. I began to see small changes: my anxiety lessened some more, and I had a little more energy. But something still felt missing.
I wanted to understand why my body wasn’t responding the way I thought it should. One day, I came across a video from someone I trust, talking about fat burning and insulin resistance. It made me curious—was this what was happening to me? That’s when I decided to dig deeper and get some blood work done to find out.
Seeing those results on paper hit me hard. Even though I suspected it, it was still difficult to accept that my body wasn’t functioning the way it used to, and that my eating habits weren’t helping. My hormones were out of balance, and it was clear that what had worked for me in the past wasn’t sustainable. It didn’t sync with my aging body, and it certainly wasn’t helping me feel stronger or healthier.
Once again, I found myself back at the drawing board. I knew I needed a new approach—something that worked with my body instead of against it.
That’s when I discovered the power of aligning with my cycle.
For the first time, I learned to truly listen to my body and adjust how I moved, ate, and recovered based on my hormonal phases. The results were life-changing. My energy returned, my anxiety eased, and I finally broke through a stubborn weight-loss plateau, losing over 3% body fat and 15 lbs.
This wasn’t just about weight or workouts—it was about finally feeling balanced and in control of my health.
From Personal Breakthrough to Helping Others
Now, my goal is to teach women how to do the same. Many of my clients, just like me, have struggled with exhaustion, anxiety, stubborn fat, and feeling disconnected from their own bodies. Many are navigating the challenges of perimenopause, menopause, or beyond, wondering if it’s even possible to feel good again.
Here’s the truth: it is. Aligning with your cycle isn’t just another health trend—it’s a sustainable way to reclaim your energy, confidence, and strength.
I’m not going to give away all the secrets here (you’ll have to join me for that), but I will say this: when you learn to listen to your body, everything changes.
If you’re tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like nothing works, I’d love to help you rediscover balance and strength. I’ve been there, and I know what’s possible when you stop fighting your body and start working with it.
