My experience with sport and physical activity has been great for as long as I can remember.
I played soccer since I was a little kid, but even then I practiced as many things as I could: basketball, baseball, football, running, etc.
When I was a teenager, I started also training in the gym as a part of my soccer training. I have never been the “strong” type, I consider myself fit and more into endurance and physical condition. However, I did enjoy the lower body days in the gym. On the other side, when it was upper body day, I wasn’t so happy about it.
In college, I also started running consistently. In the beginning, it was a hobby, but I have been doing that since 2005, so I think it’s a consistent habit now. I must confess I don’t exercise as much as I wanted to. Being employed and a dad consume the most of my day. However, whenever I have the chance I like to run a few miles or doing a cardio/strength routine at home.
On 2015, I got in touch with Crossfit and I just loved it
There is a lot of information and misinformation about this sport and I think that is the main reason why it has become so popular. However, the principles upon which it lies are great and, when it is well taught, it can have great effects in the people that practice it.
What I like about sport is that it has many benefits for the rest of your activities. Not only you feel better, you relieve stress, your metabolism is better, your energy level rises, you can concentrate better, etc. And the feelings of finishing a difficult routine or task cannot be described with words.
However, the best thing about exercise is that it is UNIVERSAL.
There are no limits on how you have to be, look or feel to start doing something TODAY. You just need to decide and commit to your goals. There are a lot of people here that are willing to help but you have to take the first steps. No excuses of time, money or space count. You only need a pair of sneakers and the will to make something happen. Believe me, you can achieve great things with the right attitude.
I would really love the opportunity to work with you and help you achieve your goals. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner and want to start exercising or if you are experienced and want something more challenging. I can adapt the routines and workouts to bring the results you are expecting.
