Today I wanted to talk about the power of thoughts.
Most of us don’t realize the impact that our thoughts have in our every day lives. They can allow us to have a great day or allow us to have a terrible day. They shape every aspect of our reality.
The Power Of Thoughts
Have you ever noticed that when you’re focusing on the positive, things just seem to fall in place? Or the opposite, when your brain is fixated on the negative you seem to attract more of the things that you don’t want? This can hinder our ability to move forward in our lives.
It can become a trap that seems almost impossible to get out of. One negative thought leads to another and so forth. It disempowers us and leaves us feeling helpless. Something as simple as the word can’t can impact the outcome of a situation.
Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right!
We are all guilty of sabotaging ourselves with this tiny little word and may not even realize it. I want you to try and focus on becoming more aware of your thoughts. Not necessarily monitoring every word and impression that enters your mind, but paying more attention to the bulk of thoughts and seeing if you observe a series of patterns.
If you notice that a majority of your thoughts (such as I will never be able to do this or I can’t handle that) lean more towards the negative, try simply replacing the word can’t with can. You instantly feel empowered. It removes the feeling of not having control and puts you in the drivers seat of your life rather than being the passenger.
This is a simple, yet highly effective exercise. I challenge you to try it! By implementing this method daily and breaking down the self defeating thoughts, you will begin to see that it really does work. You will experience a shift in your over all well-being and notice that you have more authority over you life than you previously imagined.
