So these delicious smoothies are the perfect solution. Filled with tummy filling nutrients–protein, carbs, and fat–you are sure to satisfy the bear inside your belly, and quick. And they’ll leave you feeling full for hours. Give them a try, let us know what you think!

Here are 4 Power Smoothie Recipes:

1. Strawberries & Cream
    • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (We use Earth’s Own)
    • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
    • 1-3 tbsp. organic cream (We use half & half)
    • 1 cup frozen strawberries
    • Blend & Enjoy!

2. Blueberry Banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2-3/4 cup frozen blueberries (Depends on love of blueberries)
  • A handful of spinach
  • Blend & Enjoy!
3. Chocolate Monkey
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop whey protein powder (chocolate if you have it, vanilla works just fine though!)
  • 1 tbsp. natural raw cocoa powder
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • Approx. a cup of ice
  • Blend & Enjoy!
4. Pineapple Banana
(Our favourite – it tastes like pina colada!)
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/4 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • A handful of spinach
  • Blend & Enjoy!

Normally we don’t add ice to our smoothies because we have the frozen fruit on hand which blends better in our opinion. If you only have fresh fruit, add anywhere from ½ cup, to a cup of ice, and blend. Now start stock piling and freezing fruit. Want more ideas?  Or don’t like a certain ingredient we’ve used? Make your own!

Here is a simple fool-proof method for making the ultimate nutrient-packed smoothies:

Step 1: Base

Filtered water or unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk. Add ice for that smoothie consistency.

Step 2: Veggie

Spinach, kale, or any green leafy vegetable

Step 3: Fruit

Banana, pineapple, kiwi, and berries, are best, but the choice is yours! (Omit the ice if fruit is frozen)

Step 4: Protein

Whey protein powder, hemp protein, farm-fresh eggs

Step 5: Fat

Chia seeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, coconut oil, avocado, peanut/almond butter, organic cream

Step 6: Power Food

Greens powder, cacao powder, maca powder, spirulina/chlorella.

Combine any desired amount of the ingredients above into a blender and blend until smooth. Try new combinations that you think you may enjoy, you really can’t go wrong with these ingredients! For a thinner consistency just add more water.

Happy smoothie-ing!
