My Story
I became a certified personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2016 however my fitness journey started in early 2006. During an employee health screening I found out that I had high blood pressure as a result of being overweight, sedentary, and eating a calorie-dense diet. This is what motivated me to make the lifestyle changes needed to not only improve my quality of life but to extend my life in order to be here for the people I love.
Throughout the years after, my best friend from college would mention that I should think about becoming a personal trainer as my story was one that many would find inspiring. I would consider it but always decided not to pursue it as I felt I didn’t have the “typical personal trainers” physique or background until one day I watched a show called “Fit to Fat to Fit.” The premise of the show was based on a personal trainer who decided to gain a significant amount of weight and worked on losing it alongside his client with the goal of being able to relate to and understand the struggle of his clients better. Realizing that this was already a part of my journey, I decided to become a personal trainer in 2016 and as the saying goes “the rest is history.”
I became a personal trainer because I know firsthand the benefits that improving your health through fitness and exercise can have on your life not just physically but mentally and emotionally. I wanted to help others experience those same benefits by accomplishing their fitness goals whatever they may be. My goal as a trainer is to work collaboratively with my clients to accomplish their goals. My goal is to help you accomplish your goals! Whether you are new to fitness or experienced in fitness and trying to get to the next level, I am here to help!
